Senior Analyst/Strategist

We’re looking for a talented individual to join our Strategy team. The ideal candidate is motivated by finding solutions to the new strategic challenges we solve daily. The role of this individual, reporting to the Director of Strategy, will be to ensure all projects start with a deep understanding of the consumer. A specialization in taking a quantitative approach to this orientation will differentiate this individual’s role on the team. In addition, this individual will have a deep understanding of the power of brand and how it’s utilized in the context of omni-channel retail.

Responsibilities

    • Support client work and/or new business efforts through trend analysis and secondary research utilizing a mix of subscription services and publicly available information
    • Execute strategy best practices and tools across accounts
    • Plan and lead quantitative primary research for client projects
        • Construct learning agenda with high impact questions
        • Design and run recruitment and field survey
        • Lead data analysis and reporting
        • Aid in the visual display of quantitative information.
        • Oversee 3rd party platform provider, research vendor or contractor
    • Assist as needed on qualitative primary research needs for client projects
    • Conduct competitive landscape analysis and brand reviews using a mix of secondary sources, digital audits and in-store audits.
    • Interface regularly with Managing Director, SVP Strategy, and cross functional team members virtually and in-person as needed for the completion of assigned projects
    • Lead vendor relationships and facilitating estimates and vendor agreements to assist with scoping/estimating
    • Assist in other areas of the business as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, Master’s degree a plus
  • Familiarity with behavioral/decision science, statistics and/or human psychology a plus
  • Proven mastery of quantitative data analysis in excel, SPSS and/or SAS
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas and potential problems
  • Seeks out and responds well to feedback and direction
  • General understanding of the retail landscape across sectors
  • High degree of intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to work independently or with little supervision with a bias for action
