Marketing Coordinator

This position will be working under the guidance of the Account Manager, plans project details and follows through on day-to-day activities with creative team and client(s) as needed to ensure successful completion within given deadlines. The ideal candidate is driven to learn and grow and flexible with responsibilities due to the nature of the business growth and adaptive to change.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains understanding of our client’s business, products, goals, and brand guidelines in order to deliver the highest quality of work
  • Project management duties:
    • Develops and executes project work plans and schedule revisions as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
    • Facilitates the flow of information on all phases of the project to ensure internal requirements and proper approvals are met
    • Initiates new projects within our workflow system (Workfront) for all new projects
    • Manages multiple projects simultaneously by creating and implementing project schedules and meeting required deadlines
    • Understands each project scope, milestone dates, status and resource allocation
  • Develops trust with team and clients by providing a consistent eye for detail and sound judgment
  • Executes event and/or media plans by maintaining schedule of deadlines and working with production to submit appropriate creative on time
  • Troubleshoots and assists in the resolution of problems
  • Reviews copy, layouts and proofs for accuracy against clients requests prior to sending to client
  • Learns and helps manage project management software including data input, reporting, day-to-day reviews with location and extension to other offices if needed
  • Attends client meetings; takes great notes, publishes meeting notes, and acts on next steps
  • Coordinates and schedules appropriate teams for internal briefing to ensure accurate agency direction and collecting consolidated questions, follow-up notes, and scheduling for client review
  • Keeps client and team informed of project status, including maintaining client status reports

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, PR/Communications, Business or related field
  • One to three years business experience and/or internship experience serving in a project management or client service capacity
  • Solid understanding of project management methodology
  • Excellent listening skills and verbal and written communications
  • Effective problems solving skills and ability to resolve conflicting situations
  • Must be detail oriented and exhibit great attention to details
  • Must have exceptional organization skills, be able to multi-task and prioritize activities
  • Thrives at building relationships and understanding how to adapt to different personalities
  • Ability to be calm and flexible during times of change
  • Must be excellent with Microsoft Office
  • Capable of working independently and/or with team; must be open to wearing multiple hats outside of job role
